Rikkyo will help the successful applicants to obtain a student visa through proxy visa application procedures. If you have an agent who was appointed by your sponsoring organization to help you receive a student visa, please follow their instructions.

For the proxy application, you are requested to follow the steps shown below:

• Please submit the required documents to Rikkyo. Such required documents include an application form for a Certificate of Eligibility (CoE) for a student visa, a photo, a financial statement from your bank etc.


• Rikkyo will submit your CoE application form to the Immigration Office in Tokyo.


• Upon receipt of your CoE approved by the Immigration Office, Rikkyo will send you the CoE.


• Bring the CoE to the nearest Japanese Embassy or Consulate to apply for a student visa. You are strongly recommended to contact the Embassy or Consulate in advance to inquire about any required documents other than your passport.

Your CoE is valid for 3 months after the date of issuance.
More details will be provided to those students who successfully pass the admission screening.
